Before anyone is cast on a show like Love Island, someone checks their social media and online presence. On the shows I worked with, that meant people watching video by hand, candidate by candidate.
Particle6 brought me in to work with Lifted Entertainment and ITV Studios. The first thing I did was build nothing. I sat with each department and mapped how the work actually ran, including which spreadsheet fed which other spreadsheet.
Producers came first. Every app started from a job someone already had to do, and we built working prototypes with the people who would use them. I conceived the suite, ran it as product owner and built it hands-on with Claude Code, and I led a £250K AI consultancy project with Lifted Entertainment and ITV Studios leadership.

outcomes
Being rolled out across Lifted Entertainment and ITV Studios factual entertainment shows such as Love Island and The Voice.
Six spreadsheets and three separate tools held one casting process together.
Casting Intelligence pulls that into one place. Applicants, shortlist, compliance, medical and contracts sit in a single pipeline, so a producer sees where every candidate stands without opening anything else.
The social media checker scans a candidate's accounts and flags posts for review. It never makes the call. Each flag comes with the evidence and three choices: accept, dismiss or escalate. That is where the research time went.
A series runs to 57 transmitted episodes, and there was no way to search them.
one series · 57 episodes
The second problem sat in the edit. Finding a moment from an earlier episode meant someone remembering where it was. The Episode Database is an AI visual search across past episodes, so a series producer can search by what was said or what was on screen, and find the edit without scrubbing through footage.
Producers first. Every screen is built around a job someone already had to do.
