The world's first immersive life story VR experience, pilot.
StoryTerrace captures life stories in books, using interviews, conversation, reflection and narrative. With 8i, the pioneer of volumetric video capture, we put those stories into virtual reality. I creatively directed the pilot.
Our storyteller, Jerry, can talk directly to his future generations in hologram form. After the volumetric recording we built 3D environments to go with four separate stories he tells, and worked in his own home videos and photos.
With the final version we went back to Jerry, and let him and his daughter experience his life stories in VR.
