OMA
Pitches, competitions and a new website for Rem Koolhaas's practice, as it grew from an agency into a company.

OMA is the architecture practice led by Rem Koolhaas, with AMO, its think tank. I joined in Rotterdam as Head of Business Development, Marketing & PR, reporting to the partners and managing a team of four.
I led new business and marketing, and helped win projects in Europe, the US and the Middle East. On the strategy side I led pitches and competitions, including business development for the Rothschild Bank headquarters, New Court, in the City of London, and the Dubai Renaissance competition entry for Business Bay, a 300 metre rotating tower that was never built.
The practice's clients include cities, developers, the Guggenheim and brands such as Prada, Audi and IKEA. My part was the business side: helping the practice win and present its work.

A practice becoming a company.
During my time at OMA the practice was moving from agency to company, and I contributed to that shift. Winning work, presenting it and telling people about it all had to grow up together.

From Porto to Beijing to Seattle.

CCTV headquarters, Beijing.

One website for OMA, and one for AMO.
I developed the digital strategy for OMA's new website and ran the pitch among international agencies. The design work was with Tyler Brûlé's Winkreative. The brief was to let the buildings lead.
